About Me

I am a professional videogame programmer living on Canada’s west coast, though I often moonlight as an essayist and critic! (I also curate various pop-up arcades around East Vancouver with an organization called Heart Projector.)

My work most often explores themes of philosophy and history. I am especially interested in dystopia, and specifically how it comes to exist. I always explore one subject by way of another; I love comparing videogames to pornography, for example, because it gets people thinking about the nature of gratification. As a rule, I employ far too many semicolons.
